Christie Brinkley forgives Diana Bianchi, Bianchi hugs Alex Ray and apologizes

Christie Brinkley has compassion, and says she forgives Diana Bianchi for the affair with her husband Peter Cook.

Christie Brinkley and Peter Cook's divorce is getting really ugly, with all the details of Peter Cook's porn addiction and the affair with then 18 year old, Diana Bianchi. But Christie Brinkley says she forgives her husbands former mistress.

Christie Brinkley spent a long emotional day on the witness stand, but Brinkley told reporters she wanted Diana Bianchi, now 21, to know that she does forgive her.

Christie told reporters: “I'd just like to say after two days of testimony that I can't help but think about Diana Bianchi, and I want her and her family to know that I feel really badly for them,” said Brinkley. “I feel bad for her and I forgive her completely.”

“She was manipulated, ” Christie said.

A source said that on Wednesday, Diana Bianchi approached Christie Brinkley's daughter, Alexa Joel, 20, outside of the courtroom and apologized.

“Diana said, ‘I am sorry for the pain I have caused you and your family,'” says the source. “Alexa then hugged her and said, ‘We have all been through a lot.'”

Christie Brinkley also said regarding Thursdays testimony, “today was really difficult reliving all the horrors (of what happened two years ago).”

The Brinkley/Cook divorce trial will resume Monday and the focus will then be shifting to the custody of the couple's two children, Sailor, 10, and Jack, 13. Both Brinkley and Cook are seeking sole custody.

Currently, the children are not expected to have to testify in the proceedings.
